It is never too late

My journey into aesthetics was not something I planned from the beginning. It was a journey built on patience, learning, family, faith and trusting Allah.

1. The beginning

   Microbiology in India

   I graduated in Microbiology in India before moving to the UK. Like many women, my life here took me in many different directions.

2. Work and family

   Raising three boys

   I studied to become a teaching assistant, worked as a supply teacher, as a dinner lady and in a dementia unit. Alongside all of it, my biggest responsibility and blessing was my family. Watching my sons grow and reach their goals has always been my greatest happiness.

3. Faith and community

   Learning never stopped

   I continued my Islamic studies, including the Seerah of the Prophet ﷺ, attending and teaching classes, and serving my local masjid and community. My faith has always been an important part of who I am.

4. Starting again

   VTCT Levels 3, 4 and 5

   My husband and sons encouraged me to explore aesthetics. At first I was reluctant. I wondered if I was too late to start something completely new. But I took the step. Assignments, coursework, practical training, many challenges. I kept going.

5. At 48

   SJ Beauty and Aesthetics

   I took the brave step of opening my own clinic. Starting a business later in life taught me something very important: it is never too late to learn, to start again, or to follow a new dream.

SJ Beauty is about much more than beauty. It is about creating a calm, private and respectful place where women can feel comfortable, listened to and cared for.

I want my work to stay within the boundaries that Islam has taught me, and I am grateful to Allah for all of His blessings.
